Mohammed Sumili was born and raised in a small village in the Jazan province in the southern region of Saudi Arabia. He is the father of two children and is currently pursuing his PhD in English at the University of Texas Arlington. He holds a Bachelor of Education in Arts (English Language) from King Khaled University, Saudi Arabia and a Master of Arts in English studies from the University of Exeter, UK. He teaches English at the University of Jazan in Saudi Arabia. He writes fiction and poetry and sometimes short scripts. His first novella, Memories Resurrected, was published by Arabesque Publishers in 2010. He has contributed some of his shorter fiction to {stet}, the creative writing journal of UT Arlington’s English Department, as well as to Texas’s Emerging Writers: An Anthology of Fiction (Z Publishing House, 2018). In his free time, he enjoys watching movies and debating with his friends.
