Barry Lank was born in California’s San Gabriel Valley, when cows still grazed nearby. For college, he moved to San Francisco, where he later performed stand-up comedy for about 13 years. He attended Columbia Journalism School in New York City, after which he worked at various newspapers, as well as a handful of start-ups: Air America Radio, two TV shows and a bakery. Every one of them went out of business. Even the bakery. Currently he lives in Los Angeles, where he is an ESL teacher, an online news editor and the West Coast producer for National Lampoon’s podcast, the Final Edition Radio Hour. When Barry thinks back on his time on the East Coast, mostly he misses the money. (Photo Credit: Emily Bryant)
